NOTABLE SIGMA GAMMA RHO SORORS
From the time of its inception, Delta Kappa Sigma has continuously strived for the high ideals of scholastic achievement, sisterhood and community service which are the primary principles upon which Sigma Gamma Rho was founded.

Since it’s founding, over 50 women have been inducted into Delta Kappa Sigma Alumnae Chapter.  Members of Delta Kappa Sigma are proven leaders, not only at the local level, but also on the Sorority’s regional and national level.  Delta Kappa Sigma Alumnae Chapter has contributed to the advancement of all people by helping to produce educated women of many races, religions, ethnicities, and cultures.  They're our political and organization leaders, doctors, nurses, lawyers, teachers, accountants, social workers, etc.

This chapter has also been recognized by its peers and the surrounding community for all of the hard work that has been accomplished by its members.  Currently, Delta Kappa Sigma Alumnae Chapter advises Sigma Gamma Rho's Eta Upsilon (HY) Undergraduate Chapter at Rutgers University, The State University of New Jersey located in New Brunswick.  In the past, Delta Kappa Sigma Alumnae Chapter has also sponsored a Philo and Rhoer Club affiliate group.

From 1974 to date, Delta Kappa Sigma Alumnae Chapter has upheld its purpose and mission, each day realizing the Founder's dream - that it may serve as a quintessential trailblazer for all women.
YELLOW  TEA  ROSE
The Yellow Tea Rose is one of the more fragrant flowers in the Rose family. Similar to the Yellow Tea Rose, the Sigma woman's very essence is so fragrant that she commands respect and attention upon entering a room.

The AURORA, published quarterly, is the official organ of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

The AURORA reflects Sigma's unity of purpose and action, support of programs and projects and full cooperation in human concern and commitment.

35 Years and Still Going Strong!

Proudly having reached our 35th anniversary in 2009, the Delta Kappa Sigma chapter continues to produce community ser vice initiatives and programming that exemplifies the Sigma Gamma
Rho mission.

Our most recent noteworthy achievement is our new Web site, http://deltakappasigma.net. Created and maintained by one of our own, our site is filled with photo galleries, events, Sigma music,
future calendar of events, and of course the history of our founders and DKS chapter. The Delta Kappa Sigma Chapter Web site is intended to demonstrate our local chapter commitment, but also educate the general public on the true mission of Sigma Gamma
Rho Sorority, Inc.

This year Delta Kappa Sigma sorors were in attendance at the Northeast Region 2009 Midwinter Conference as well as the 67th Northeast Regional Conference. We look forward to creating even greater events to serve our community and a variety of
populations in the future.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority was organized on November 12, 1922
in Indianapolis, Indiana & incorporated in 1929 at Butler University by 7 young educators.
